Locally raised, grass fed steers and heifers from our family farm. These are Angus crosses which provides prime cuts. Our butchering animals are free ranging and provided modest amounts of grain to keep them happy and docile. No antibiotics or hormones. The beef is harvested at a younger age than a typical feedlot animal.
The cuts are vacuum sealed, hamburger will be in either 1 lb, 1.5 lb or 2 lb packages (your choice).
Available three to four weeks after an order (processing closed during deer season).
Delivery for whole, half within 75 miles (Springfield, Bentonville-Rogers, Tulsa). Further distances we can meet half way for purchases of quarter and above.
Prices as follows are complete and based on the sum of the individual packages:
Our costs are all inclusive and based on what you will take home as individual packages, the price will be adjusted up if it weighs more, and down if it weighs less.
We do not recommend purchasing more than your family can eat in 5-6 months. The beef will not spoil in the freezer but with frost-free freezers, it will dry and the fats oxidize, which if someone in the family is a "super taster", they will not enjoy the taste.
Note: There are multiple ways that beef is priced. It can be priced as live weight, as hanging weight (the pictures seen commonly of half beef), or as final packaged. We are selling as final packaged, e.g., as in the grocery store, the weight that you put in your freezer.
To compare like-for-like, an equivalent Hanging Weight with Processing, would be ~$3.6/lb. An equivalent Hanging Weight and customer pays for processing would be ~$2.8/lb.
